Business Analyst

The Position

BulletinHealthcare is seeking a Business Analyst to support the marketing and advertising sales team. As a member of a fast-growing team, the ideal candidate will have new ideas, approaches, and solutions to serious business questions.

The successful candidate will be intellectually curious and motivated to help the company grow revenue quickly. The candidate will be able to develop actionable insights into the pharmaceutical advertising landscape, our competition, and broad market trends. The candidate will support the day-to-day needs of our sales team with ad hoc research, while also working on longer-term projects.

Below is a list of questions the successful candidate will help our team answer:

  • What therapeutic categories represent highest pharma ad spending in the near-term?
  • Where are the opportunities for growth we are yet to capitalize on?
  • What new drugs has the FDA approved and when will marketing begin?
  • Who are the right agency and client contacts to approach in connection with new product launches?
  • How does our ad pricing compare to our competition?
  • What new categories offer the most upside for the company?

This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and will work closely with the Director of Data Insights & Analytics.

Compensation is competitive.


  • Work with the Director of Marketing to identify new market opportunities for the company to pursue.
  • Report on FDA drug approvals, recalls, withdrawals, and safety alerts.
  • Monitor late-stage drug development for opportunities or information relevant to our team’s sales process.
  • Organize data and produce clear, actionable summaries for use by sales leadership.
  • Assist with the creation of market analysis tools for use by senior leadership to identify market opportunities.
  • Support the advertising sales team with a variety of ad hoc reports.
  • Use industry-leading media intelligence products to monitor and report on advertising spending in a variety of priority therapeutic categories.
  • Analyze sales opportunities and report on major trends.


Most importantly, the candidate will have a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and develop actionable insights through their research and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, math, or science.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a business analytics role (pharmaceutical or healthcare focus a plus).
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Office Suite programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute research plans to answer broad and multifaceted questions.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience creating Salesforce reports; proficiency in Salesforce.
  • Experience performing quantitative analysis.
  • Expertise in R, Python, or a similar statistical analysis platform preferred but not required.
