The Team

You will be an Insights Analyst within Cision’s Global Insights group, a team of more than 300 services professionals leveraging Cision’s C3 platform to monitor news and social media to deliver the most valuable intelligence briefings for the C-suite, as well as in-depth analytic insights on how media activity and context are driving organization impact and performance. This position will be part of a team delivering media and business analytic insights.

Personal attributes, characteristics, knowledge, experience, education:

  • Undergraduate degree with quantitative coursework within marketing, communications, economics, political science, or analytic fields
  • 1-4 years of experience in consulting, business or marketing analysis, or the research/measurement function of a communications agency (preferred)
  • Passionate about news and social media, loves following new social tools and trends, avid reader of the news
  • High-energy problem solver, proactively learns about tools and new features to rapidly address client needs
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Comfortable and experienced managing multiple client tasks and internal demands and proactively collaborating to meet daily and weekly timelines
  • Conscientious and detail-oriented
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States for an indefinite period without current or future sponsorship
  • Employment is subject to background investigation

Critical responsibilities:

  • Become an expert on our advanced news and social media monitoring tools
  • Design and setup custom-configurations and dashboards for new clients for news and social media based on our media measurement methodology
  • Conduct deep analysis of clients’ earned media performance versus competitors, for specific events, and for periodic crisis situations
  • Produce highly professional and insightful client reports distributed to senior client executives
  • Support selected business development activities, serving as an expert on media analytics and our Global Insights services and capabilities
  • Track, troubleshoot and resolve client issues
